Myth: Water helps to lose weight

Myth: Drinking plenty of water is good
This is completely wrong. Doing too much of anything can have a negative effect on body. If you drink more water than your body uses, you may suffer from a condition called water toxicity.
In this condition, the amount of sodium in the body get decreases. Low sodium levels in the body can even cause death.
Myth: 8 glasses of water is essential for weight loss
While this has some facts, the hydration capacity of people in general varies.
There are those who can cope with even 6 ounces of water, and there are those who drink more than 8 glasses of water a day.
So it’s a good that your thirst guides you when you want to drink water.
Fact: Water suppresses appetite
This is true. Has the ability to replenish water naturally. Those who are on a weight loss journey are advised to drink water before meals as this will help in reducing the amount of food.
Water intake and hydration
Many of us confuse water intake with hydration. The body needs hydration. We provide hydration to the body by ingesting water.
