This topic of benefits of sesame chikki “Ellu mittai” brings me back to the childhood memories.
Once I and my older brother went to a small stall to buy something to eat when we get bored (yeah,we get hungry when we get bored lol!).
The string of colourful helium filled potato chips packets caught my eyes and I took the West Indies flavour!
While my brother was using his both hands to open a jar which was tightly closed. In that, I saw many black balls which was unattractive.
He said that they were ellumittai. I sulked at him. He remarked that he is a healthy 80’s kid and I am a unhealthy 2k kid.
Maybe, he was right at the time cuz I am here to point out the nutritional boons of the after-school snack of our parents.
