1. Drink Electrolyte Beverages

Diarrhoea can be extremely dangerous when you have dehydration and left untreated. You need to replace the lost amount of fluids and minerals which comes in a pack called ORS.

How To Make ORS At Home?

  1. Wash your hands with soap and water before preparing the solution.
  2. Pour one litre of safe water into a clean container.
  3. Firstly, add 3.5 grams of salt ( half a small spoon) into the container.
  4. Secondly, add 40 grams of sugar ( 4 big spoons).
  5. Stir well until they get dissolved.
  6. Give the patient frequent sips whenever she/ he is thirsty.
  7. Use the solution for 24 hours.
  8. If the patient doesn’t get improved, contact the doctor for further treatment.

Note: For Infants and Children’s ORS Formula

  • 6 level TEASPOONS of sugar
  • Half level TEASPOON of salt
  • One litre of clean drinking water( boiled and cooled)
  • Children under 2 years are given 50-100 ml( quarter to half a cup)
  • Children more than 2 years are given 100-200 ml.
  • Give them in spoon, feeder or syringe to squirt the solution for every 5-10 minutes.

2. BRAT Diet Is The Winner!
