Tips To Store Breast Milk
- Make sure to wash your hands with soap and water before expressing breast milk.
- Store breast milk in a cleaned, capped, BPA free container.
- Don’t store breast milk in disposable water bottles. Label the container with date. Place the container in the back of the refrigerator where it stays coolest.
- You can add freshly expressed breast milk to frozen milk you expressed the SAME DAY! Don’t add warm milk as it will make the milk to thaw. Keep in mind that research states that the longer you store breast milk in the freezer, the greater the loss of vitamin C. Read my previous article on the best diet list for 6 month baby!
