Dry skin!!Do you guys wonder, how they took care of their skin during our grandmother’s times and even before?

Obviously, they had no creams or skin products back then. How did they moisturize their skin to prevent those dry, scaly, and flaky skin from appearing? When I asked this to my grandmother, she laughed and told me that they used natural oils that nowadays are used only for cooking.

Dry Skin

In this condition, your skin may experience peeling, itching, scaling, and cracking. You might have dry skin by nature.

However, if your skin is oily, you may as well develop dry skin from time to time. This dryness may occur in any part of your body’s skin. It normally involves the hands, arms, and legs.

Dry skin occurs on exposure to climate and weather changes, hot water baths, and also from the usage of cosmetic products that have chemicals that dry out your skin.

This a condition where your feet feel dry. It is a fungal skin infection that commonly starts between the toes. This results in the formation of a scaly, itchy rash that may have painful or burning sensations.

Allergic contact dermatitis

Some of the allergic contacts include jewelry made from nickel or gold, perfumes or chemicals in cosmetics and skincare products, latex gloves, poisonous ivy, etc.

Irritant contact dermatitis

This is the most common type. It happens when the skin comes in touch with toxic substances like bleach, detergent, pepper spray, etc.

Photo contact dermatitis

It is less common and occurs when the active ingredients of the skin product are exposed to the sun. Thus, resulting in irritation on the skin.

3. Seborrheic dermatitis

When the scalp is extremely dry, you may get dandruff resulting in red and scaly rash . You might have dry, flaky skin on your arms, legs, groin, face, ears, or near your belly button. This is otherwise called cradle craps which is common in infants.

It is also known as eczema. This condition is marked by itchy and inflamed patches of skin. Due to allergic reaction, your skin may dry or ich causing a rash.
