Media and technology have made another virtual world for our kids. Games become so addictive because it triggers the brain’s reward system and shapes a child’s behaviour.

Studies made by the California State University have found that video games can have a similar effect on children’s brain as drug abuse or alcoholism.

The World Health organisation included the gaming disorder in the 11th revision of its International statistical classification of diseases. In today’s era everything has gone online and keeping the child away from the screen is the biggest task of parents.

Although, smartphones, Television and laptops are also a great tool for your child to do learning, I have personally seen mother regularly giving mobile to her standing kid in a crowded bus. Sometimes, this may even end up with bad events due to the carelessness.

Some of the other bad effects are obsessive behaviour, lack of sleep, social isolation, neglect of school activities and responsibilities, lack of interest in other hobbies, irritability and getting depressed when unable to play.
